Every kid has made lists of what they want Santa (or SOMEBODY) to give them, and parents are working to give their children the best gifts they can. Now, the BEST GIFT a parent can ever give a child (and not just at Christmas) is an introduction to Jesus of Nazareth. That is a gift with Eternal effect! Still, if we are going to protect our kids, we need to understand and act on the need for “strong” passwords. It also protects Mom and Dad! Ask yourself this: Would I want to have a front door key that matched a lot of locks installed on the front doors on my street? Of course not! That’s because their keys would then work on MY FRONT DOOR, too! I want a key that is “special” or “unique”. The same should hold true about the passwords you use, both on your PC and on the Internet.

With all this neat, new technology flying around I’ve noticed people (and to an extent, Society) have been redefining adultery. Teaching kids about Internet safety is a challenge for every parent. To begin with, many parents may not feel competent to discuss technology dangers with their children, especially when they had to ask the kids how to load an iPod! Then there is the age old problem of kids discounting what parents say because, well, they are PARENTS!
It’s that time of year. 
Yeah, I know. I really dated myself with that title.

Adultery is a BIG DEAL! While our Society may seem to be getting blasé about it, God’s standards haven’t “mellowed with time”. As a matter of fact, the injunction against adultery in the Ten Commandments comes between the injunctions against murder and theft!
We all know how the Internet and other new communications technologies are impacting the lives of kids. Whether it is online pornography, sexting with peers, or predators, the culture that our children exist in has expanded with new danger that parents have to keep aware of.
